Founder

Aisha Lesley Bentham BFA, MA, internationally trained artist-scholar, vegan chef, ethnographic archivist and wellness coach from Toronto, has dedicated her life to research the intersection of cooking and performance that looks to interrogate notions of care, eco-somatics and newest exploration titled Critical Cookery Studies where conjure, alchemy and magic meet phenomenology, mathematics and performance. Founder of Geon Nativa: Institute of Conjure, a magical arts institute where students strengthen their minds and bodies, to apply and remember magic, through method, practice, and review. 

Aisha has a vast background: founding a residency for multi-disciplinary artists/creators called RootReach where artists work in triads to create solo works, to building a vegan food hub, HUE Foods for community to access knowledge on vegan food and cooking knowledge to help them embrace a mindful lifestyle and starring on Canada’s favourite show, Amazing Race Canada. She has worked with companies such as IKEA Brussels, Jamieson Vitamins, Lululemon, UofT, Wu-Tang Clan, Nuit Blanche and many others across Canada.


Aisha is a published author of her first Artbook; Spatial disruption of the body. It is a collection of works spanning twelve years, that explores landscapes, visual articulations; physical and non-physical, captured through multiple mediums and practices. Aisha has now completed her 4th show called, Planetary OUDH which premiered at SummerWorks 2024.
